Forum Productions is a highly acclaimed comprehensive stage and theater company based in Chicago. Founded in 2014 by Bill and Wendy Spatz, the company has produced or co-produced 17 plays including the highly-acclaimed Churchill (Producer: Chicago, 2014; Producer: Off-Broadway, 2015) and Solo Celebration!, a series of one-actor plays all staged at the Greenhouse Theater in Chicago.
Forum Productions’ performances received praise from the Chicago Tribune, WGN, NPR, the Sun-Times and more. Past illustrious productions have been positively received by audiences and applauded by Theater in Chicago, Broadway World, Chicago Magazine and The New York Times.
For its 2017 and 2018 season, Forum Productions is producing a series of performances in Florida and will continue to introduce new entertainment experiences in Chicago.
William (Bill) Spatz (Co-Owner) is a playwright, producer, and real estate developer in Chicago. As president of the board for the Greenhouse Theater Center, Bill has overseen the remodeling and expansion of the Greenhouse, which has for over 40 years served as an artistic home for Chicago theater companies, including the Body Politic, Victory Gardens and Remy Bumppo. Bill is the President of the Bill and Wendy Spatz Charitable Foundation. When not producing theater, Bill spends his time engrossed in historical research, traveling with his wife Wendy and supporting Chicago theater companies.
Wendy Spatz (Co-Owner) is a philanthropist, patrons of the arts, and producer in Chicago. Wendy has also been the Vice President of the board for the Greenhouse Theater Center since its purchase in 2008, where she has overseen the extraordinary growth and development of that organization, which expanded from rental facility to producing house, receiving several Joseph Jefferson awards. Prior to joining the Greenhouse Board, Wendy served for 5 years on the board of Victory Gardens Theater, and served as its Vice President for 3 years.
